Gary Janzen

Gary L. Janzen age 54 of Henderson, NE died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Henderson. He was born May 4, 1952 at Henderson to Walter and Elva (Siebert) Janzen. He was a 1970 graduate of Henderson High School and went on to graduate from UNL in 1974. Gary farmed in the Henderson area and was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. He was united in marriage to Pam Friesen on June 15, 1974 in Henderson.

He is survived by his wife Pam of Henderson; sons, Kevin Janzen of Henderson, Kyle Janzen of Lincoln, NE; daughters Carissa and her husband Brad Nietfeldt of Omaha, NE and Carlee Janzen also of Omaha; granddaughter Prestyn Nietfeldt of Omaha; brother Royce Janzen and his wife Carol of Henderson and sister Rebecca and her husband David Dolezal of Lincoln. Also surviving are his parents Walter and Elva Janzen of Henderson and many cousins, nieces and nephews. His father-in-law Levi E. Friesen preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held, Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson with the Reverend George Kaufman officiating. Burial was in the Bethesda Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Oncology Department of the Henderson Hospital.
