Rodger James

Rodger L. James, 36, of Williamsburg, Missouri, died Sunday, November 5, 2006. He was born September 12, 1970 in York, Nebraska the son of Rodney L. and Roberta (Biegert) James. He was united in marriage to CaSaundra (Ozburn) James who survives at the home. In addition to his wife and mother, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Gates Revolution James of the home; one grandmother, Caroline Esterling of York, Nebraska; his future stepfather, Kevin Uriell; other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney L. James, a grandfather, Robert L. James and grandparents, Arthur and Viola Biegert. Rodger owned and operated Devil Dog Express Truck Line and he served our country in the United States Marines. He was a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in York, NE, the Eagles Club in Waterloo, Iowa and York and Amvets in Mokane, Missouri. He enjoyed motorcycles, collecting artifacts, scuba diving, exotic animals, gun collecting, hunting and he especially enjoyed rehabilitating injured wild birds of prey while at UC Davis.

Funeral services were held on November 8, 2006 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with Pastor Beth Duckworth officiating. York services were held on November 10, 2006 at Metz Chapel.
