Thomas Ihde

Thomas Justin Ihde age 20 of Gresham, NE, died Sunday, July 26, 2009. He was born June 16, 1989 at Seward, NE to Herbert and Laurie (Cole) Ihde. Thomas graduated from Centennial High School in Utica, NE in 2007 and worked at Wendy’s in York. NE. He loved football, video games and enjoyed being with his friends.

Survivors include his father Herb Ihde of Gresham; mother Laurie Cole of York; brother Matthew Ihde of Gresham; aunt Becky Cole of York; cousin Zach Cole of Lincoln; grandparents Roger & Shirley Ihde of Gresham, Doug and Leora Fort of Glenwood, IA; great-grandmother Eleanor (Earl) Stephens of Seward, NE; aunt Donna Butzke of Utica; cousins, Samantha Butzke, Shandy Butzke, Darian Butzke and Quinn Butzke. Preceding him in death were his grandfather Ron Cole, sister Chelsea, and cousin Michael Cole.

Combined funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in York, NE with the Reverends Art Phillips and Lowell Meyers officiating. Burial will be in the Seward Cemetery, Seward, NE. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the mortuary. The family requests informal services and would like everyone to “come as you are.” Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
