James Huey

James Henry “Jim” Huey age 68 of McCool Jct., NE died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 18, 1938 at Parkston, S.D. to Earl and Eva (Mashino) Huey. On August 23, 1980 he was united in marriage to Mary Jo Spall in York. Jim was a long time truck driver who enjoyed traveling around the country. He also served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jo of McCool; three sons Kurt (Kelly) Anderson of Lincoln, Tom (Jeannelle) Anderson of Lincoln, Bruce (Becky) Anderson of Crete; one daughter Julie (Mark) Kinsman of Phoenix, AZ; step-daughter Tonia (Lee) LeVasseur III of Iola, KS; sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Lester (Ruth) Huey of Sumpter, OR and Bill Huey also of Sumpter; one sister Beverly Brink of Parkston, SD. Also surviving are two nieces; three nephews; father-in-law Harry (Mary) Spall of Valentine; two sisters-in-laws and three brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, mother-in-law and one brother-in-law.

Graveside services will be held in Valentine, NE in the spring. There will be no viewing or visitation as it was Jim’s wish to be cremated. Memorials may be directed to the family.
