Zella Huebert

Zella S. Huebert age 82 of Henderson, NE died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Henderson. She was born July 7, 1924 in rural Henderson, NE to Henry J. and Anna (Janzen) Ratzlaff. Zella graduated from Henderson High School and then attended York College where she received her teaching credentials. For a short time Zella taught country school before marrying Arley Huebert on May 24, 1945 at Henderson. Zella was an active member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church and the Women’s Aglow Club. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and traveling. She also loved to garden and take care of flowers as well.

She is survived by four sons, Cecil and his wife Janet Huebert of Henderson, NE, Burdette and his wife Kim Huebert of Garden Grove, CA, Kevin and his wife Sheila Hueburt and Jay and his wife Renae Huebert all of Henderson. One daughter Sherilyn and her husband Duane Schmidt of Paoli, Indiana. 12 Grandchildren Also surviving are four sisters; Elva and her husband Sam Quiring of Goessel, KS, Alvina and her husband L.G. Davolt of Henderson, Leanna and her husband Levi Peters and Violet Ratzlaff all of Henderson. One sister in law Jean Ratzlaff of Henderson. Nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.

Services were held May 3, 2007 at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Burial was at the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Grace Children’s Home in Henderson.
