Esther Hower

Esther P. Hower age 93 of Henderson, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Henderson. She was born November 7, 1913 at Geneva, NE to William and Minnie (MacBeth) Helton. Esther was a 1932 graduate of Geneva High School and was married to LeRoy E. Hower on October 24, 1941 in Seward, NE. She worked at the Woolworth store in York until it closed and then at the McCloud Hotel as a housekeeper until it’s closing. She was a member of the East Avenue United Methodist Church in York.

Esther is survived by her daughter Bonnie Hower of Bradshaw, NE and several cousins including Doris Moravec of Geneva and Donny Helton of Columbus. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, siblings, Eliva, William, Harry, Dale, Lester Paul and two infant sisters.

Graveside services were held Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Geneva Cemetery, Geneva, NE with the Reverend Richard Karohl officiating.
