Jeanette Hoskins

Jeanette Hoskins of York, NE unexpectedly passed away on August 31, 2011. She was born in Sharpsburg, IA Dec 22, 1938 to Ralph & Lela Rutledge. She married Leonard Hoskins August 7, 1960 and were long-time residents of Nebraska City. Together they had four smart & wonderful children: Jodi (Andy) Larkin of Benedict, Randy (Velvet) Hoskins of Lincoln, Susan (Jeff) Beauchamp of York & Deb (Greg) Stuchlik of Lexington.

Jeanette was a happily retired teacher from York Middle School. She was a long-time member of PEO, Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma and Jaycees. She was active at the York Senior Center and First Presbyterian Church. Jeanette & Len loved to travel and spent their winters in Yuma, AZ.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Len; her four children; five grandchildren: Josh (Betsy) & Sarah Larkin (fiancé Troy Cockerill), Piper (fiancé Justin Meinberg) and Cordell Hoskins, and Elizabeth Beauchamp; and one great-granddaughter, Cadence Klein.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 am, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in York with the Reverend Mike Eickhoff officiating. Burial was in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the York Elementary School Backpack Program.
