Charles Hofer

Charles L. Hofer, age 73 of York, died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at York. He was born January 30, 1932 at Omaha, NE. to Louis and Agnes (Thompson) Hofer. Charles worked as a siding applicator, as well as doing some welding. He was a member of the York Eagle’s Club and enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He was married to Patricia Hime on August 5, 2001 at Council Bluffs, IA.

Charles is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Debra Hofer, son Charles Hofer Grandchildren, Joey and Jackie (Ring) Miller, Jamie and Tabitha (Stell) Miller, Crystal Hofer Great-grandchildren, Cody, Meghan, Ashley, Brooke and Ty Miller; step-children, Michael and Darla Maske, Joe and Christal Maske, Teresa and Jeff Fischer, Jeanette Maske and William (Billy) Maske Step-grandchildren, Samantha, Zack and Michel Maske, Nicole, Lacey and Robert Fischer, Marie Ann, Christopher and Charlie Maske and Alishia and Cody Maske. Also surviving are his sisters, Bobbie Hoff, Beverly Davidson and Patricia Morton, one brother Dick Mayfield and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Lucy.

Mr. Hofer has been cremated and there will be no viewing or services. A memorial and dinner will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 901 Academy Ave., York, NE. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
