Pamela Hendricks

Pamela S. Hendricks, age 61 of Lincoln, NE died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Fairmont, NE. She was born September 13, 1949 in Butler, MO to George Y. and Dorothy (Lord) Hendricks.

Pam received her Associate Degree from Cottey College in Nevada, MO and then her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduating college, Pam spent a year working as a Vista Volunteer in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, working with rural black and white residents living in poverty. She worked in London, England as a nanny, was an employee of Lincoln Telephone Company/Alltel for over 25 years, and finally for Woods & Aitken Law Firm until retiring because of health reasons.

She enjoyed taking part in the VolksWalk, golfing, traveling in Europe, and was an avid Husker fan. She spent a lot of time doing genealogy research for family and friends, was a volunteer for the Nebraska Historical Society, and was secretary for the National Bellows Family Reunion.

She is survived by her mother Dorothy of McCool Jct., NE; four brothers: Steven (Debbie) Hendricks of Lincoln, Patrick (Janice) of Tulsa, OK, Gilbert of Lincoln, and Stanford (Julie) of Clarks, NE; and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 am, Friday, May 20, 2011 at McCool United Methodist Church in McCool Jct., NE with Pastor Jeff Adams officiating. Burial followed in the McCool Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
