Elizabeth Heinike

Elizabeth R. Heinike age 71 of York, NE died Friday, July 20, 2007 at York. She was born on September 3, 1935 to Charles and Ida (Kaeding) Heinke at Thayer, NE. Elizabeth worked at the IOOF Home for 27 years until it closed it’s doors and then worked at the Hearthstone, Recipe Box, and the Chances R until she retired in 1989. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York.

She is survived by three sisters: Betty Cartwright of York; Delores (Marlin) Pozehl of Seward; and Verla (Chester) Terrell of Bloomington, IN. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Ike Williamson of York. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lyle Heinike, sister-in-law Dee Heinike and brother-in-law Ralph Cartwright.

Funeral services were Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Metz Chapel in York. Burial followed at York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
