| Margaret Heiden
Margaret Marie Heiden, age 89, of Lincoln, former longtime Benedict resident, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Auburn, NE. Margaret was born January 28, 1919 in Hamilton County to Fred and Elsie (Sagehorn) Rhode. She was married on October 7, 1938 in Polk, NE to Erich Heiden. Erich died in May of 1968.
Margaret is survived by her children; Clarice Droud of Lincoln, Dennis and his wife Pat of Sun Prairie, WI, Douglas and his wife Melissa of York and Janice Zeaman; grandchildren, Donald Droud Jr, Rodney (Lori) Droud, Gina (Arley) Voves, Michelle Norsetter, Nathan Heiden, Nicole Heiden, Anna Henry, Erich (Mary) Heiden, Denise (Joel) Barrow; great-grandchildren, Kearah (Wade) Houchin, Isaiah Droud, Mandy & Meg Droud, Addison & Owen Barrow, Kyle Heiden, Ethan Voves, Adam & Finess Heiden, Wyatt Heiden, Adryan Reppenhagen, Erick, Nicholas & Taylor Norsetter, Morgan Holmstrom & Worth Henry; great-great-grandchild Ta’Lyn Houchin. Also surviving are her brothers, Edgar (Lorette) Rhode of Copperas Cove, TX and Clarence (Isabelle) Rhode of Minneapolis, MN; sisters, Dorothy Sackschewsky of Waco, Dolores (Wayne) Glasser of Madison, NE, Phyllis Pinnow of Terrell, TX and Barbara (Franklin) Pinnow of Arlington, TX; many nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret’s’ family wishes to acknowledge Dan & Melissa Buman for their loving care of Margaret during her final days. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Donald & Delbert, sisters, Elvera Weiler, Helen Ehlers and Luella Rash; brothers-in-law, George Weiler, Richard Pinnow, Herbert Reetz, Clarence Heiden, Elmer Heiden, Roy Heiden; sisters-in-law, Rufina Heiden, Clara Reetz, Paula Heiden, Mabel Heiden and Elma Heiden.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., at the Faith Lutheran Church in York with the Rev. Art Schauer officiating. Burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery north of York. Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Hour or family choice.
