Colleen Heidbreder
Colleen M. “Coke” Heidbreder, age 77, of York, NE, passed away September 17, 2009 at York. She was born May 27, 1932 in York to Roy and Florence (Maurer) Larson. She married Walt Heidbreder on January 27, 1952 in York. Coke graduated from Bradshaw High School, Class of 1950. She was employed at the McCloud Hotel Restaurant and did dictation typing for a farm manager. She also was employed with Lunner Abstract as well as Geis Motors and then Production Credit Association. Coke was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in York and the League of Human Dignity. She enjoyed and supported many community activities. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family.
Coke is survived by her daughters Jolene (Ardean) Richert of York, Lori (Terry) Domeier of Geneva, NE; son Greg (Genie) Heidbreder of Kearney, NE; grandchildren, Jeremy (Melanie) Richert of Marion, IA, Alicia (Robert) Dirks of Walton, NE, Brady Domeier of Geneva and Justin Heidbreder of Walters, OK. Her step grandchildren include Katie Kuster of Kearney, Carly (Dusty) Spangler of Weeping Water, NE, Heidi Dunken of Kearney. Her great-grandchildren include Kennan and Emmitt Dirks of Walton, Baby Richert of Marion, IA; step great-grandchildren, Keegan, Kaylee, Nyla, Elijah and Audrina Kuster of Kearney. Coke is also survived by one sister, Joen (Melvin) Gruber of La Vista, NE; sister-in-law, Betty (Pat) Dunn of Navasota, TX; one niece, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church in York with the Reverend Michael Eickhoff officiating. As per her wishes, Coke’s body will be cremated following the funeral service. Private family inurnment services will be held at a later date at Bethesda/Lockridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday and 9am – 9pm Monday at the mortuary. The family will greet friends Monday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda/Lockridge Cemetery Association, First Presbyterian Church or the donor’s choice.
