Adam Hansen

Adam James Hansen, age 22 of Blair, NE, formerly of York, NE died Wednesday, December 23, 2009. He was born February 22, 1987 to Dwight and Deb (Snell) Hansen at York. Adam was a 2005 graduate of York High School and then graduated from I.T.T. Technical Institute in Omaha in the fall of 2008. While in high school, he was employed with York General Hearthstone for three years. He was currently employed with Mid America Computer Corporation in Blair, as a computer programmer.

Adam was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Growing up, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 174 in York, 4-H, and the York Dolphin Swim Team. He enjoyed running, camping, and visiting with friends online.

Surviving Adam are his parents Dwight and Deb Hansen of York; four brothers: Derek Hansen and his fiancée Carrie Mallison of Grand Island, NE, Brock Hansen of Lincoln, NE, Jordan and Caleb Hansen of York; and sister Christina Hansen and special friend Brett Grieb of York. Also surviving are grandparents: Larry and Gaylene Snell of York and Calvin and RoseMary Hansen of Aurora, NE; aunts and uncles: Kevin and Lecia Snell and their children Alexis, Seth, and Zach of Gretna, NE, Kim and David Blaser and their children Jess and Nick of Malcolm, NE, Denise and Tim Brown and their children Tyler and Kyle of Lincoln, Kerry Snell of Waverly, NE, Darcy and Gary Arnold and their children Grayson and Macy of Lincoln, Kurt Snell and his children Kirsten and Ashton of Lincoln, Craig and Ann Hansen and their children Chad, Shauna, and Sheila of Lincoln, Ken and Marsha Hansen and their children Jeff, Matt, and Laurice of Hampton, NE, Phillip Hansen and his daughter Amanda of York, and Nancy Hansen and her daughter Brandy of Hampton; friends; and his co-workers at Mid America Computer Corporation in Blair. He was preceded in death by his aunt Jeannie Hansen.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 28, 2009 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverends Tim Marshall and Mike Neidow officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, York. Memorials may be directed to Boy Scout Troop 174-York or to the family.
