Ruth Hall

Ruth B. Hall, age 81 of York, NE, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Fairmont. She was born on February 2, 1925 on a farm near Bradshaw in York County to Robert and Edna (Reisinger) Simmons. Ruth was married to Junior L. Hall on April 6, 1947 in rural York County. She was a devoted homemaker and was a member of the Arbor Drive Community Church.

Ruth is survived by two sons: Steven L. Hall and his wife Anita of York and Phillip L. Hall and his wife Wanda of McCool Junction, NE; three daughters: Betty A. Finnestad and her husband Chris of Brownsville, Oregon; Barbara R. May of York; and Debra J. Hendricks and her husband Steven of Lincoln, NE; twelve grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Also surviving Ruth are many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one grandson Jordan Hall, one granddaughter Melody Finnestad, three brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arbor Drive Community Church in York with the Reverend Keith Bateman officiating. Interment will follow in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will continue Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family greeting friends and neighbors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
