Ray Hale

Ernest “Ray” Hale age 73 of York, NE died Friday, May 18, 2007 at Lincoln, NE. He was born September 6, 1933 at Wharton, WV to Robert and Gynith (Stanley) Hale. Ray was a career military man having spent 20 years in the United States Air Force. He then worked for Gerhold’s Concrete in York until his retirement in 1983. On October 9, 1960 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Otte at York. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Bonnie of York; two sons Michael Ray Hale of Medina, OH and Brian Hale and his wife Kim of York; one daughter Teresa Hale of Omaha, NE; four grandsons, Shawn, Cameron, Cody and Quin Hale all of York and one great-grandson Caleb Hale of Beatrice. Also surviving is his mother-in-law Hazel Otte of York. Preceding him in death were his parents, daughter Dianna Lynn, brother Bobby and sister Connie.

Funeral services were May 22, 2007 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverends Mike Neidow and Tim Marshall officiating. Burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery in York. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
