June Hager

June A. Hager age 91 of Fairmont, formerly of McCool Jct., died Monday, March 19, 2007 at Fairmont. She was born June 7, 1915 in York County to True and Pearl (Mead) Howey. She was married to Gale Hager on February 27, 1934 at Concordia, KS and they lived in McCool Jct. for many years. June worked at the Post Office in McCool Jct. until her retirement and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McCool Jct.

She is survived by her sons Gale Jr. and his wife Barbara of Hastings, NE and Bill and his wife Virginia of Hacienda Heights, CA; daughter Donna Chapman of Lincoln; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren;brother Vernon (Mary) Howey of Dallas, TX. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and 4 sisters.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Jeff Wulf officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation as it was June’s wish to be cremated. Memorials may be directed to the Fairview Manor.
