Dennis Grosse

Dennis Richard Grosse, 83, passed away March 29, 2011, at Fort Collins, CO. The only child of Richard B. and Sylvia A. (Berger) Grosse, he was born on a farm near Benedict, Nebraska. He found he liked working with farmers and dairy cattle and formed Mid States Sales Co.,Inc. He married Connie S. Huff on February 28, 1983, and they began a life of travel and fun times with friends and family.

During his lifetime, Dennis battled five major cancers, the first in 1969 and the last in 2003. He was a survivor. He liked to leave the cold winters of Nebraska and they began to spend time in Palm Desert, CA. They made their permanent home at the Lakes Country Club and enjoyed the time they spent there.

In 2008 Dennis began to have some health problems and so they moved to Phoenix, AZ. to be closer to The Mayo Clinic there. As his problems increased they moved to Fort Collins, CO. in February of 2011, to be closer to family.

He leaves most precious memories for his wife, Connie S. Grosse of Fort Collins, CO; stepson, R. Scott Huff, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Carrie (Dane) Parr, Lincoln, NE., Elliott (Emily) Grosse, Lincoln, NE; step grandchildren, Sarah (Wade) Lymber, Wellington, CO., Sgt. Alexander Huff, Scott Air Force Base, IL. Dennis also leaves behind great grandchildren, Ryan and Samuel, Lincoln, NE., and Evan and Nicholas, Wellington, as well as a new great grandchild expected in April. Children from a former marriage include Shawnie Grosse, Austin,TX., Timothy Grosse, Lincoln, NE., and Douglas (Karla) Grosse and their children Parker, Madison, and Tanner., Lincoln, NE. Also brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Sylvia, and a son, Scott Wesley Grosse.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, York, NE. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery in York, NE.
