Dorothy Grabowski

Dorothy May Grabowski age 87 of York, NE died Friday, November 11, 2005 at York. She was born July 29, 1918 in Merritt County, NE to Clyde E. and Katherine (Demel) Rice and graduated from Central City High School in 1936. Dorothy was a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in York, the Catholic Daughters and the St Joseph’s Altar Society. On August 31, 1940 she was married to Arnold Grabowski at Lincoln. She is survived by Six Sons, Richard Grabowski of Sacramento, CA, Gary and his wife Pauline Grabowski of Lakewood, CO, Robert and his wife Carola Grabowski of Omaha, Dennis and his wife Vickie Grabowski of Durham, NC, James and his wife Suna Grabowski of Lincoln and Dale Grabowski of Holdrege. Eleven Grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also surviving are two brothers, Earl Rice and Wayne and his wife Marie Rice all of Hamburg, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Harold and Ralph Rice.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Thursday, November 17, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York with Father Leo Seiker officiating with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery east of York. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Metz Chapel with memorials being directed to the St Joseph’s Catholic School Endowment Fund. Visitation begins after 1:00 pm., on Wednesday at the mortuary.
