Arnold Grabowski

Arnold Grabowski age 89 of York, Nebraska died Monday, February 14, 2005 at York. He was born June 10, 1915 at Loup City, NE., to John and Mary (Celmer) Grabowski. He graduated from Havelock High School in 1935 and attended Wesleyan University in Lincoln for 2 years. He was employed at the Roscoe Hill Hatchery in the Sales and Service Department in Lincoln for over 40 yrs. On August 31, 1940 he was married to Dorothy May Rice at Lincoln. Arnold was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York and the Knights of Columbus as well.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of York, six sons, Richard Grabowski of Sacramento, CA., Gary and his wife Pauline Grabowski of Lakewood, CO., Robert and his wife Carola Grabowski of Omaha, NE., Dennis and his wife Vickie Grabowski of Durham, NC., James and his wife Suna Grabowski of Lincoln, NE and Dale Grabowski of Holdrege, NE.. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York with Father Leo Seiker officiating. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary on Thursday. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in York. Memorials may be directed to the church. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
