C. F. Goodwin

C. F. Goodwin age 82 of York, Nebraska died Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Grand Island. He was born March 20, 1923 at Kim, CO to W. G. (Pat) and Clarissa (Humphrey) Goodwin. C. F. attended Kim grade and high school. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 7, 1942 and flew missions during World War II in the South Pacific. After the war he married Marjorie Louise Moore, also of Kim, in 1948. In 1952 their son Bruce was born. C. F. and his family farmed and ranched in Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota. C. F. and Marjorie moved to York, NE in 1998. He was an active member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Marjorie of York; son Bruce and his wife Barbara of York; grandson Dan and his wife Julie of Omaha; and granddaughter Audrey of York. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James.

Funeral services were Monday, July 18, 2005 at the East Hill Church of Christ with Rick Eldred officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at York. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Assn.
