EVELYN GONNERMAN

Evelyn Gonnerman age 94, longtime Gresham area resident, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Utica. She was born November 22, 1910 near Gresham in York County to Carl and Seinie (Dey) Schlueter and was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gresham. On February 15, 1931 she was married to Raymond D. Gonnerman at Gresham and together they farmed near Gresham. Evelyn enjoyed the quilting group at her church, sewing, cooking and gardening.

She is survived by two sons, Eugene and his wife Donna Gonnerman of York, NE and Roger and his wife Elaine Gonnerman of Wahoo; one daughter Marilyn Loontjer of Columbus; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and her sister Blondina Hankel of Utica. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Raymond, brother-in-law Leroy and an infant grandson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gresham with the Reverend Timothy Prince officiating with burial in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church.
