Wilma Gocke

Wilma E. Gocke age 74 of Waco, NE died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at York. She was born April 13, 1933 at Waco, NE to George and Frieda (Rucksdaeschel) Klepper. Wilma was a longtime member of St John’s Lutheran Church at Waco where she was an active member of the Ladies Aid. In 1951 Wilma graduated from Waco High School and later on February 15, 1953 she was married to Reuben V. Gocke at Waco. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, working with crafts and especially loved being around her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Reuben of Waco, three daughters, Gail and her husband Steve Maronde of Benedict, Joan Gocke of Lincoln and Lori and her husband Curt Glass also of Lincoln. Five grandchildren include: Christopher and his wife Bethany Maronde of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Brian Maronde and Jeffrey Maronde both of Benedict and Jessica Glass and Nicholas Glass both of Lincoln. She is also survived by three brothers: Milton and his wife Bonnie Klepper, Kenneth and his wife Marilyn Klepper all of Waco and Allen and his wife Alretta Klepper of Utica. Also a sister in law Eileen Wiemer of Utica. Nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister in law Arlan and Darlene Klepper and a brother in law Harold Wiemer.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Waco. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
