Constance Gill

Constance “Connie” A. Gill age 68 of York, NE died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at York. She was born April 1, 1938 at Stromsburg, NE to Craven and Marjorie (Price) Stream. Connie graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1955 and then attended Lincoln School of Commerce. Before her marriage she was employed at Russell Stover Candy Company in Lincoln and then at the York Telephone Company. After her marriage she worked at the York High School for many years. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in York and was a former member of the Eastern Star in York as well. Connie enjoyed her family and especially being involved in her granddaughter’s activities. She was married to Arnold Gill in March of 1960 at Lincoln.

She is survived by one daughter Anne and her husband Donald Gillam of Lincoln, one granddaughter Kimberly Gillam also of Lincoln. A brother Calvin and his wife Pam Stream of Lincoln. Two nephews Christopher and his wife Marnie Stream of Las Vegas, NV and Scott and his wife Debra Stream of Lincoln. Also surviving is a niece Julie and her husband Kasey Marler of Jonesborough, TN. Three great nephews and one great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, three grandsons and an infant daughter.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church in York with the Reverend Michael Eickhoff officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery in York. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in York.
