Laura Ghere

Laura Maxine “Mickey” Ghere age 83 of Utica, NE formerly York, NE and Scottsdale, Arizona, died Sunday February 8, 2009 at York. She was born March 30, 1925 to Ernest D. and Laura V. (Newell) Simmons Sr. at Washington D.C. Laura worked as an executive secretary while residing in Chicago, IL.

Laura is survived by many friends including Karl Warner of Scottsdale and Judy Wellman of Waco, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Ernest D. Simmons Jr. and Donald LeRoy Simmons

In following Laura’s wishes, she has been cremated and will be scattered in the Arizona desert that she loved so much. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
