Norma Galaway

Norma E. Galaway age 82 of Fairmont, NE died Friday, June 8, 2007 at Fairmont. She was born on November 6, 1924 at Elmont, KS to William and Bethena (Scruby) Hillers. Norma enjoyed playing Bingo and working in her garden. She loved wildlife of all kinds but especially enjoyed bird watching. She was also an avid weather watcher. She was united in marriage to Howard R. Galaway on October 6, 1943 at Maysville, KY.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Larry Galaway of Geneva, NE and his wife Alice of McCool Jct., NE, Don Galaway and his wife Kathy of York, NE and Alan Galaway and his wife Linda of McCool Jct.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother-in-law Joe Galaway and his wife Nancy of Fairmont and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Metz Chapel in York, NE. Burial followed in the McCool Cemetery in McCool Jct. Memorials may be directed to the family.
