Levi H. Friesen

Levi H. Friesen, age 82 of Lincoln, NE, died Wednesday, March 03, 2010 at Lincoln. He was born July 20, 1927, the youngest of five children, to Gerhard and Katharina (Huebert) Friesen. Levi was a lifelong farmer in the Hamilton County area. Levi and Elizabeth Rempel were united in marriage on August 6, 1948 in York County, NE. This union was blessed with four children. Levi took pride in knowing and sharing his faith, loved farming, and embraced music. He was a member of the Stockham Community Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth of Lincoln, NE; children: Ken and wife Amy Friesen of Grand Island, NE, Ruth and husband Dale Strasser of Freeman, SD, Tim and wife Debbie Friesen of Bryant, AR, and Lee and wife Valerie Friesen of Lincoln, NE. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren (2 more on the way). Levi also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and four siblings: David H. Friesen, Marie Friesen, Reuben Friesen and Tina Epp.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Stockham Community Church, Stockham, NE with Pastor Paul Nauman officiating. Interment was in the Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, NE at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be directed to the Stockham Community Church or the donor’s choice.
