John T. Friesen

John T. Friesen age 92 of Henderson, died Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Henderson. He was born September 15, 1911 at Litchfield, NE., to Thomas H. and Katherina (Klippenstien) Friesen. He was a lifelong Hamilton County farmer and was an active member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. He also enjoyed woodworking in his later years. On January 30, 1936 he was married to Marie Friesen at Henderson.

He is survived by his wife Marie of Henderson, three sons, Don J. and his wife Pauline Friesen of Henderson, Mel and his wife Connie Friesen of Aurora, and LaVerne and his wife Carol Friesen of Wallace, NE. Four Daughters, Rubena and her husband Thomas Lloyd Hiebner of Henderson, Myrna and her husband Robert Johnson of Denver, Co., Mary and her husband Richard Claassen of Aurora and Amanda and her husband Clarence Rempel of Newton, KS. 21 Grandchildren 26 Great Grandchildren Also surviving is a brother Kenneth and his wife Esther Friesen of San Jose, CA. Three sisters, Marie Peters and Estaline Quiring both of Henderson and Doris Braun of Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters and a grandson.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 9, 2004 at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson with Reverends Weldon Martins and George Kaufman. Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda Radio Broadcast or to Grace Children’s Home.
