Howard Friesen

Howard E. Friesen age 83 of Henderson, NE died Friday, April 14, 2006 at Aurora, NE. He was born May 11, 1922 at Henderson, to Isaac and Agnes (Doell) Friesen and was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church. Howard was a former farmer then was employed by the city of Henderson for 16 years with 14 of them on the police department. He enjoyed gardening, coffee with his friends and was always willing to help his friends and neighbors. On December 13, 1942 he was married to Pauline Friesen at Henderson.

He is survived by his wife Pauline of Henderson; 4 sons, Dale and his wife Judy Friesen of Fayetteville, AR, Delmer and his wife Ardenna Friesen of Sutton, DeWayne and his wife Susan Friesen of Lincoln and Dean and his wife Kathy Friesen of Desoto, IA.; 3 daughters, Elaine and her husband Gary Hansen of Overland Park, KS, Carolyn Rice of Lincoln, and LaDonna and her husband Robert Barnett of Katy, TX; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and two sisters.

Graveside services were held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Bethesda Cemetery near Henderson. Memorial services were held at 2:00 P.M,. Tuesday at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Memorials may be directed to the Aurora Community Care Center.
