Darold D. Friesen

Darold D. Friesen, 72, of Henderson, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003 at Henderson. He was born June 7, 1931 on a farm near Henderson to Thomas H. and Katherina (Klippenstein) Friesen. On Aug. 22, 1951, he married Rosella M. Regier at Henderson and they lived and farmed near Henderson most of their married life.

Darold is survived by his wife Rose of Henderson; three sons, Gary and his wife Deanna Friesen of Lincoln, Galen Friesen of Henderson and Billy and his wife Beth Friesen of Lincoln; two daughters, Diana and her husband Tom Johnson of Henderson and Lori and her husband Bruce Ediger of Aurora; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, John T. and his wife Marie Friesen of Henderson, George T. and his wife Elizabeth Friesen of Henderson and Kenneth and his wife Esther Friesen of San Jose, Calif.; three sisters, Marie Peters and Estaline Quiring both of Henderson and Doris Braun of Aurora; sister-in-law Miriam and her husband Henry Quiring of Henderson. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson Eric Friesen; three brothers Laverne, Loyd and Milton; four sisters Nettie, Helen Epp, Fern Unruh and Alma Heiser.

Memorial services were held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Faith Evangelical Bible Church at Henderson with the Rev. Michael Fink.
