Bernice Friesen

Bernice Elizabeth Friesen, age 86 of Henderson, NE, died Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Henderson. She was born near Hampton, NE on January 12, 1920 to Isaac J. and Elizabeth (Peters) Doell. Bernice was united in marriage to Ben M. Friesen on August 1, 1940 in Henderson. She was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson and Mission Circle #1. Bernice enjoyed fishing, cooking and sewing.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Byron and his wife Teresa Friesen of Henderson; four daughters, Berdean and her husband Roy Swanson of Lincoln, NE, Brenda and her husband LaRoy Hiebner of Henderson, Barbara and her husband Bill Graham of Aurora, NE, Beverly and her husband Burton Peters of Henderson; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; one brother Milton and his wife Selma of Las Vegas, NV. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Menno, John, Harvey, and three infant brothers; sisters, Dora Buller, Louise Isaacs, Alice Peters, Martha Goossen, Ann Friesen, Olga Mierau and Linda Friesen and three infant sisters.

Funeral services were held November 29, 2006 at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson with the Reverends Weldon Martens and George Kaufman officiating. Interment was at the Bethesda Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda Mennonite Church.
