Beverly A. Freeman

Beverly A. Freeman age 70 of York, NE., died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Evanston, Ill.

She was born December 31, 1933 at York to John H and Anna M (Wilger) Seigel and was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York. Beverly graduated from St. Joseph’s Elementary School and York High School before attending Doane College in Crete, NE., where she attained her teaching certificate. She then taught for several years in North Platte and York. She also substituted for several years again in the York area after her marriage. Beverly also assisted her husband Don at the York Agri-Products. She enjoyed walking, golfing, exercising and playing cards. She especially loved being around her grandchildren. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter A, the York Country Club and was very active in St. Joseph’s School PTA. Bev also directed several fund raising efforts as a member of the York General Hospital Auxiliary. During the York Centennial she was responsible for the staging of a production depicting the history of the city of York. On August 17, 1957 she was married to Don Freeman at York.

She is survived by her husband Don of York, son Don Freeman II of Lincoln. Three daughters, Courtney and her husband John Bulin of York, Darcy and her husband Bob Moran of Beatrice, NE., and Nicole and her husband Bob Corning of Arlington Heights, ILL. Grandchildren include Jamie and Don III Freeman of Lincoln, Lauren and Freeman Bulin of York and John, Jarod and Sydney Moran of Beatrice. Elizabeth, Nicholas and Rachel Corning of Arlington Heights, Ill. Also surviving is one brother John and his wife Jane Seigel of McCool Junction, NE and her mother-in-law Lena Freeman of York. Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Carolyn Prescott.

Memorial services were Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York with the Rev Leo Seiker officiating Private family inurnment. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Lied Transplant Center 987680 Nebraska Medical Center at Omaha, NE., 68198
