Albert Franz
Albert A. Franz age 92, of Henderson, died Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Henderson. He was born March 30, 1914 near Lushton, NE to Isaac and Sara (Epp) Franz. Albert farmed in the Henderson area until his retirement. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Kroeker on June 19, 1935 in the Kroeker family home near Henderson. He was a member of the Community Bible Church in Lushton where he was a board member and Sunday School teacher. He served for several years on the Advisory Council for Nebraska Christian High School in Central City and Grace College of the Bible in Omaha. He also had been a board member for Grace Mission and a former member of the Gideon Bible Society.
Left to cherish his memory is his son Ardean and his wife Betty Franz of Henderson; daughters, Elvina and her husband Jim Holbrook of Twin Falls, ID, Lois and her husband Gerald Dick of Holdrege, NE, Alice and her husband Robert Decker of Henderson and Glenda and her husband Bryan Goertzen of Aurora, NE 17 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sister-in-laws Blanche Franz of Henderson and Nettie Friesen of Henderson, and brother-in-law Gustav Thieszen of O’Neill, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant granddaughter Becky Renae Franz, two sisters, Lydia Franz and Malinda Buller and two brothers, Edward and August.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Faith Evangelical Bible Church, Henderson. Interment was in the Council Cemetery southwest of York. Memorials may be directed to Grace Missions.
