LaVonne Fox

LaVonne L. Fox age 61, of York, NE, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at her home in York following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 8, 1949 at Lynch, NE to Victor and Ferne (Haun) Nyquist. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1967 and was married to Jim Fox on June 20, 1969 at Spencer, NE. LaVonne was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in York as well at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Spencer. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3990. LaVonne and Jim had a cabin at Gross, NE where they spent countless hours with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Jim of York; son Brad Fox of Lincoln, NE; daughters, Vicki (Larry) Johnston of Spencer, NE and Shari Fox of York; one grandson Trenton Fox of York; two uncles, Paul Nyquist of Lynch and Charlie (Beth) Nyquist of Spencer, IA; two aunts, Amy Bentz of Chula Vista, CA and Phyllis Anderson of Van Buren, Ark. Also surviving are numerous cousins and other family. Preceding her in death were her parents.

Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in York, NE. Inurnment was in the Union Cemetery, Spencer, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
