Jen Forbes

Jenalene “Jen” M. Forbes age 75 of York, Nebraska died Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at York. She was born November 3, 1929 at York to Wilson R. and Olena (Strickler) Beaver and was an active member of The First United Methodist Church in York. Jen was a longtime employee of Cornerstone Bank in York where she was as an Assistant Cashier for over thirty-two years. She also volunteered her time at the Red Cross Blood Mobile and at the York General Hospital. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, the V.F.W. Auxiliary in York and enjoyed flowers. On August 8, 1951 she was married to John Donald Forbes at York. She is survived by two sons, Dave and his wife Lori Forbes of Grand Island and Jeff and his wife Becky Forbes of San Diego, CA. Four Grandchildren, Angela and her husband Grant Richards of Aurora, Casie Forbes of Grand Island, Broc Forbes of Grand Island and Emily Forbes of San Diego, CA., One great grandson Brody Richards of Aurora. Also surviving is a sister in law Maxine and her husband Fred Bosseleman of Grand Island and a brother in law Robert Bearnth of Houston, TX Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don and one sister Zella “Zel” Bearnth.

Funeral services were 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in York with the Rev. Jeff Wulf officiating. Burial will be in York’s Greenwood Cemetery.
