Dwayne L. Fenster

Dwayne L. Fenster, age 74 of York, died Sunday, February 15, 2004 at York. He was born February 20, 1929 at York to Ralph and Alma (Hoffschneider) Fenster. A Concordia High School and College graduate, he taught Lutheran Elementary and High School in North Dakota, Iowa, Washington, Michigan and California. On April 25, 1953 he married LaVaughn Roth at Davenport, IA.

Dwayne is survived by his wife LaVaughn of York; one daughter, Kae (Randy) Snider of Houston, TX; four sons, Derek (Chris) Fenster of York; Keith (Candice) Fenster of Lincoln, Kevin (Lanel) Fenster of Waverly, and Greg (Holly) Fenster of Staplehurst. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Brandon (Brandice) Fenster, Tamara Fenster, Danielle Fenster, Josh Fenster and a great-granddaughter Shyanne Fenster; his brother Verle (Frieda) Fenster of Rapid City, SD. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Ronald and Charles.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 18th at 2:00 pm at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Revs. Art Brinkmeyer and Tim Marshall officiating. Burial will be at St. Johns Cemetery south of Waco. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Lutheran Hour or Emmanuel Faith Lutheran School. Visitation will begin Tuesday at 9 am.
