Robert Faustman

Robert Lee Faustman, age 76 of Lincoln, NE, died Monday, April 14, 2008 at Lincoln. He was born in York, NE on October 1, 1931 to Leonard and Evangeline (Ellis) Faustman. He was baptized into the Lutheran Faith at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. He attended York county Schools, graduating from York High School in 1949. After graduation, he worked on the family farm southwest of York until he entered the U.S. Army. While in the Army, he was part of the Military Police and served at Fort Bragg, NC and Fort Bliss, TX. After leaving the Army, he moved to Lincoln NE where he made his home and worked for many years for Brunswick Corporation until his retirement.

Robert is survived by his brother Wayne Faustman and his wife Bitty of Richburg, SC, his sister Shirley Vassar and her husband Glen of York, NE. Nieces include Leslie Morell and her husband Al of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lisa Hurlbut and her husband Jeff of Waxhaw, NC, and nephews Christopher Tietmeyer and his wife Angie of York, NE, and Chad Tietmeyer and his wife Brenda of Hampton, NE. Also surviving are numerous great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Art Phillips officiating. Burial followed at the Greenwood Cemetery, York. Memorials may be directed to the York Adopt-A-Pet Shelter.
