Lillian Evans

Lillian Evans, age 91, of Olathe, KS, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Olathe. Lillian was born September 29, 1917 in Ott, AR to Charley and Pearl (Branch) Bales. On October 6, 1934, Lillian married Earl “Rusty” Evans in Fulton, AR. Throughout her life Lillian enjoyed gardening, sewing, carpentry and caring for her parents and family. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Jean (Dick) Stevens of Olathe, and Kay (Jim) Vincent of Kearney, NE; grandchildren, John Rucksdaeschel and Scott Rucksdaeschel of Olathe, Shawni (Justin) Cook of Lincoln, NE and Jenni (Walter) Martin of Kearney; great-grandchildren, Nick and Vantz Rucksdaeschel, Detric and Thursey Cook, and Vincent and Creed Martin. Preceding Lillian in death are her parents, husband, brothers, Roscoe Bales and Joe Bill Bales, and son-in-law Cliff Rucksdaeschel.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, York, NE. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, York, NE.
