Renae Epp

Renae Dawn Epp age 34 of Aurora, NE, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at York. She was born February 8, 1975 at Aurora to Roger and Beverly (Epp) Goertzen. Renae accepted Christ at the age of four and was baptized at age eleven at the lake at Hordville Bible Camp. She graduated from Henderson High School in 1993 and then attended the Lincoln School of Commerce where she received her Associate’s Degree as a Paralegal. Renae then attended the Myotherapy Instutute in Lincoln where she received her Massage Therapy License. She was united in marriage to Matthew Epp on April 15, 1995 at Henderson, NE. Renae worked as a massage therapist, but her greatest and most satisfying joy was being a wife and mother. Renae was a people person and would talk to anyone and everyone. Her telephone had more numbers programmed in it than most. She lived a life of service and was involved in many fundraisers, and activities, including the Henderson Hospital Auxiliary. The most important thing in Renae’s life though was teaching her children about Jesus. She attended the Community Bible Church in Lushton.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband Matthew and children, Jayden, Brooklyn and KatrinaMarie of Aurora; her parents Roger and Beverly Goertzen of Aurora, NE; brothers, Corey and Jami Goertzen and their children Tyler and Caleb of Loxahatchee, FL and Ryan and Jenny Goertzen and their children Jacob and Joshua of Yukon, OK; grandparents, Harold and Marie Epp of Henderson and Selma Goertzen of Henderson. Also surviving is her mother-in-law, Nadean Epp of Aurora; brothers-in-law, Kelly and Donna Epp and Brian and Diane Epp both of Lincoln, NE, Ron and Susan Epp of Bluffton, OH, Delwayne and Kathy Epp of York, NE, Mark and Judy Epp of Henderson, NE; sister-in-law, Vicky and Kevin Goertzen of Aurora, NE. Renae also leaves behind many nephews, nieces other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Aaron Goertzen, and uncle, Calvin Epp.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson with the Reverend Douglas Pierce officiating. Burial wase in the Bethesda Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Back to the Bible program, or The Gideon’s International.
