Lillie Epp

Lillie Epp, age 85 of Henderson, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Henderson. She was born August 17, 1919 in Hamilton County to Peter D. and Katharina (Friesen) Friesen. Lillie married Harland Peter Epp at Henderson on April 16, 1939. Over the years she worked as a baker at the school, nursing home aide, waitress at the Dutch Kitchen and cashier and waitress at Dells. She was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church at Henderson. Survivors include her husband Harland of Henderson, daughter Joann and her husband Robert Dick of Aurora, son Kenneth Wayne Epp of Lincoln and son Philip Mark Epp and his wife Roma of Lincoln. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sisters Laura (Donald) Boehr and Leona Epp all of Henderson. Preceding her in death were her parents, daughter Julia, 6 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson with the Revs. Weldon Martens and George Kaufman officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials were directed to the Bethesda Radio Broadcast.
