Helen English

Helen Elaine English age 73 of McCool Jct, NE died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Aurora, NE. She was born January 25, 1932 at Gibbon, NE to Alfred and Josephine (White) Novotne. Helen graduated form Ravenna High School and then attended Kearney State College where she received her associates degree in teaching. Helen taught school in Buffalo and Custer counties for several years. She then worked for the McCool Jct Public Schools before being a waitress in McCool and York. Helen especially loved being around her children and grandchildren. On December 6, 1952 she was married to Earl E. English at Ravenna. She is survived by two sons, Kevin Earl English of McCool Jct and Bradley Scott and his wife Sarah English of Omaha. Three daughters, Christina Marie Ewing of Aurora, NE, Kathleen Kay and her husband Richard Lundquist of Stromsburg and Janice Doyleen Christian of Lincoln. 10 Grandchildren. 9 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl and a brother Leonard Novotne. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2005 a St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York with Father Leo Seiker officiating. A Rosary service will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral services at the church. Visitation begins after 1:00 p.m., Saturday at the mortuary with memorials being directed to the family. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
