Gerald Elliott

Gerald W. “Jerry” Elliot, age 84 of Norfolk, NE, formerly of Lexington, NE died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Norfolk. He was born on November 25, 1924 in rural McCool Jct., NE to Thomas and Lola (Cool) Elliott. Jerry worked as a mechanic at Consolidated Blenders in York and then worked at Sperry New Holland in Lexington, NE. He was united in marriage to Florence P. Wilson on July 14, 1946 at Beatrice, NE. Jerry enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles and was an avid reader.

He is survived by three daughters; Connie and her husband Steve Bender of Augusta, GA, Peg and her husband Paul Studts of Norfolk, NE and Pamela Ruff of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Shirley Albro of Bremerton, WA, Emma Lee Worthen of Salem, AR and sister-in-law Vernal Elliott of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Steve, two brothers and one sister.

Private inurnment will be held at a later date as it was Jerry’s wish to be cremated. There will be no viewing or public services. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s favorite charity.
