Ralph Ernest Eggerling

Ralph Ernest Eggerling, age 68, longtime Waco area farmer, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Stromsburg. He was born October 9, 1935 at Milford, NE to Alfred & Esther (Hinrichs) Eggerling. On September 8, 1957 he was married to Pat Moravec at Utica. Ralph was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church at Waco and he enjoyed traveling, pheasant hunting, fishing and attending his grandchildrens activities. Ralph is survived by his wife Pat of Waco; daughters, Nancy and husband Matt Lee of York, and Carol Kirkpatrick and her boyfriend James Loury of Omaha; grandchildren, Mike Abell of Lincoln, Jason Abell of Waco and his girlfriend Renee Richters of Lincoln, Katie Lee, Renee Kirkpatrick and Nikki Kirkpatrick all of York; great-grandchildren, Kaden Kirkpatrick of York and Brinley Abell of Lincoln. Also surviving are his 2 brothers, Marlin & Betty Eggerling and Richard & Nancy Eggerling all of Lincoln and his sister Erma & Ron Wekesser of Rochert, MN and his father-in-law Bill and his wife Irene Moravec of Seward. Preceding him in death were his parents Alfred & Esther Eggerling and his mother-in-law Lydia Moravec. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at Peace Lutheran Church in Waco with the Rev. Kris Rebentisch officiating. Burial will be at the Waco Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will begin on Monday at 1 PM with family greeting relatives & friends on Tuesday from 7-8 PM at Metz Mortuary in York.
