Freda Edelman

Freda L. Edelman, age 71 of Henderson, NE, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Henderson. She was born on July 30, 1937 in York, NE to Isaac P. and Rose C. (Siebert) Epp. Freda was united in marriage on March 23, 1968 to William Edelman at Henderson. She was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson and enjoyed swimming aerobics, baking and Husker football. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

Freda is survived by her husband Bill of Henderson; son Mark Edelman and his wife Esther of Sutton, NE; four grandchildren, Mark Jr., Lora, Nathan, and John Edelman of Sutton; siblings, Alda Riemer of Henderson, Philip Epp and his wife Karen of Newton, KS, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also surviving is an aunt, Helena Siebert of Henderson. Preceding her in death were her parents, infant children, Connie Lynn and Timothy Lee, and sister Leona Capps-Wolfenbarger.

Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Bethesda Cemetery in Henderson followed by Memorial Services at 10:30 a.m., at the Bethesda Mennonite Church, Henderson with the Reverend Weldon Martens officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 11 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the mortuary in Henderson with the family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Henderson Hospital, Bethesda Mennonite Church or the donor’s choice.
