Linda Eastman

Linda D. Eastman, age 62, of York, NE, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at York. She was born on June 21, 1948 to John and Birdie (Delaney) Farr. Linda graduated from York High School in 1966. She then attended Southeast Community College for two years. She was married to Breck Eastman on June 4, 1977 at Fort Riley, KS. Linda worked as an LPN at the Women’s State Reformatory in York for several years before working in Henderson, Utica and then Lincoln. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York. Linda was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed fishing and was a Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan.

Survivors include her husband Breck Eastman of York; son John Fears of Omaha, NE; grandson Tavaris Fears of Omaha; mother Birdie Farr of York; sisters, Tonya Martin of Lincoln, NE, Connie (Lloyd) Sievert of Lincoln, NE, and Gretchen Farr of York. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in York. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
