Marie Duchek

Mary Marie Duchek age 89 of York, NE died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at York. She was born October 13, 1920 to Henry H. and Anna Agnes. (Houser) Duchek. She attended country school District #45 kindergarten thru 8th grade. After school graduation she helped friends and neighbors with house-cleaning and new mothers with their children. That kept her busy as she enjoyed helping others. Mary was instrumental in helping plan most family get togethers and loved to cook. Mary loved to embroidery in needle point, tea towels and to listen to Czech music. She is survived by two brothers, Orin Duchek of Crete, NE, and Joe Duchek of Wilber, NE; two sisters, Helen Senff of Bradshaw, NE and Agnes Wagner of Crete. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Henry Duchek, sister Alice Duchek, brothers-in-law, Harvey Wagner and Garland Senff, sisters-in-law Rosie Duchek and Mildred Duchek, and one nephew. As per Mary’s wishes her body was cremated with no viewing or visitation. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Dorchester, NE with the Reverend Roger Wolfe officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
