Helen Donelson

Helen L. Donelson, age 90, of York, NE, died Friday, December 26, 2008 at York. She was born July 15, 1918 to William and Louise (Wergin) Ehlers at York. She attended St. John’s Lutheran School south of Waco, NE and was united in marriage to Raymond A. Donelson on May 8, 1949 at Waco.

She is survived by her husband Raymond of York; daughters, Sheryl Tverberg of Cohassett, MN; Barbara Donelson of Omaha, NE; son Ronald (Amy) Donelson of Plano, TX; five grandchildren: Dr. Tammy Zimmel of Racine, WI, Staci and husband Mike Clawson of Edina, MN, Ryan Donelson of Boise, ID, Elsie and Lauren Donelson of Plano; two great-grandchildren: Emma and Grace Clawson of Edina. Also surviving is a sister Betty (Norman) Larsen of York, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Helen in death were her parents, daughter Janet Rubley, granddaughter Kimberly Tverberg, and sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Elroy Hoffman.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2008 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Tim Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, York. Visitation will be held Saturday and Sunday from 1-9 pm at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
