Morris Dolezal

Morris Ray Dolezal age 72, of York, NE, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at York. He was born July 16, 1938 at Narka, KS to Anton and Evelyn (Craig) Dolezal. He graduated from Narka High School in 1956. Following graduation, he entered into the military where he served for three years. Morris and Sharon Kelley were married on December 16, 1961 at Belleville, KS. During his lifetime, Morris worked for the Rock Island Railroad, Stone Construction, and NPPD. While at NPPD, he was a heavy equipment operator, working in statewide support. He retired in December of 1998 but continued to keep active by driving truck for Bryan Driewer. Morris attended the First United Methodist Church in York and was a charter member of the York Eagles. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, woodworking and all sorts of crafts.

Morris is survived by his wife Sharon of York; daughter Mindy and her husband Tim Roberts of Lincoln; grandchildren, Taylor Roberts and Jerrad Roberts of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Earl, Howard, and Glen, sisters, Welma Melton and Jerilyn Dolezal.

Funeral services were Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Metz Chapel in York, NE. Graveside services were at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
