Lila Dinkelman

Lila L. Dinkelman, age 79, of York, died Thursday, July 27, 2006 at York. She was born May 9, 1927 southwest of Utica, NE to William and Helen (Finke) Gallagher. Lila was a graduate of Utica High School and taught school in rural Seward County for 2 years. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church south of Waco and taught Sunday School for 20 years. On May 19, 1946, She married Ervin Dinkelman at Utica.

Lila is survived by her husband Ervin of York; son Gary and his wife Deb Dinkelman of David City, NE; daughters, Lori and her husband Brian Hoffman of Benedict and Janice and her husband John Nikodym of Red Cloud, NE; grandchildren, Jeff, Ryan and Michele Dinkelman of David City, Rebecca and Benjamin Hoffman of Benedict and Jacob, Jamie and Joshua Nikodym of Red Cloud. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John’s Lutheran Church south of Waco with the Rev. Paul Kern officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
