Roberta Dietrich

Roberta M. Dietrich, 93, Lincoln, passed away June 13, 2006. She was born June 23, 1912 in Aurora to Guy and Emma (Feldman) Moore. Roberta graduated from Aurora High School in 1929 and taught in a rural school in Hamilton County. She married Reuben Kindvall October 18, 1936. They had two children, Marge Kindvall Harouff, Lincoln and Robert (Bob) Kindvall, Desoto,Texas. Reuben preceeded her in death on November 22, 1953. She married Alex Dietrich of York on August 19, 1960. He died on November 20, 1990. She lived in York until 2002 when she moved to Lincoln to be closer to her daughter.

Roberta is survived by her daughter, Marge (Dewey) Harouff, son Bob (Jeri) Kindvall, stepson Jerry and Glory Dietrich of West Hills, CA, and daughter-in-law, Sue Phelps of Lincoln; three grandchildren: Jennifer Humphrey, Nashville, TN, Sarah Kindvall, Fremont, NE and Steven Dietrich, Simi Valley, CA; two great-grandchildren: Morgan Lott, Omaha, NE and Asher Humphrey, Nashville, TN. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law; Betty Kindvall of Vancouver, WA, Marie Otto of Aurora, NE and Mary Boshart of Lincoln, NE.

Roberta was employed for many years at the First National Bank in Bradshaw and York, and worked part-time at Metz Mortuary following her retirement. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Bradshaw until she married Alex Dietrich and moved to York where she joined the 1st United Methodist Church of York, was a long-time member of York Business Women, Friendship Circle and the York Hospital Auxiliary.

Services were Friday, June 16, 2006 at the 1st United Methodist Church in York with the Reverend Jeff Wulf officiating. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. at the Aurora Cemetery. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, to the 1st United Methodist Church.
