Robert H. Dickes

Robert H. Dickes, age 63, of David City, a former York and Waco resident, died Friday, Jan 9, 2004 at David City. He was burn Aug. 25. 1940 at Hartington, to Harold and Dorothy (Ryan) Dickes. Bob had worked as a heavy equipment operator, having worked for York County and York Packing.

He is survived by his daughter Saundra Dickes and his granddaughter, Keyarra of Fayetteville, N.C.; two brothers, Dennis (Kathy) Dickes of Waco and Randall (Rose) Dickes of York; four sisters, Carol (Robert) Bryant of Yuma, Ariz., Donna (Tom) Baker of York, Jan Witzel of York and Cheryl (Howard) Scherer of York; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Jackie, daughter Pam and brother Rodney.

Funeral services were Tuesday. Jan. 13. 2004 at the Metz Chapel in York with Phil Towle. Burial with military graveside services was at the Greenwood Cemetery at York.
